The UN "invaded" Cyprus, with Canadian peacekeepers in 1974. Greeks broke the Treaty of Guarantee 1960, which explicitly states that no nation can annex it to their territory. Turkey's intervention was covered under their signatory status as a guarantor of the same treaty. The border is literally a United Nations buffer zone, and the UN is still there today, policing the border.
The intervention was necessary since the terrorist group EOKA B (supported by the Greek National Guard, and their military junta) was mass murdering Turks and ethnically cleansing the island. Turks have lived in Cyprus since the Ottoman Empire in the 1500s, they didn't arrive in 1974, a quite asinine idea.
Moreover, the Turks won 1/3 of the island in the '74 war, freeing the population from their ethnic cleansers, and the Turkish Cypriots voted (in a 2004 referendum) to re-unite the island, but 75% of Greeks voted against. Greeks are the impediment to a unified island, and the Turks no longer care about reunification.

The Turks haven't been imperialists for over a century. Westerners have bigger difficulties letting go of the Ottoman Empire than the Turks themselves; it's really absurd. Their leadership of the Arab world wasn't European style colonialism, they employed the Millet system, where each region was free to govern itself, with tributes essentially paying for the Ottoman military (which was better than anything their constituents could cobble together). You transposed your ideas about despotic European colonies to the Ottomans, without even the merest investigation or knowledge of the Millet system. In fact, the Wallachians revolted against Vlad the Impaler because the taxes he imposed on his own people were greater than the Ottoman tribute they were used to paying!
The operation in Libya was to oust the American backed puppet regime, not to annex or rule it! You insist that there's a merging of religion and state, but the evidence you present pertains to headscarves; was this humour deliberate? Show me a facet of Sharia law implemented into Turkish penal codes.
Turkey's stern relationship with the Saudis and UAE is precisely because those regimes are nothing but American vassals, and everybody knows this but yourself. If anything, the Turks should have an ill opinion of the Arabs after the Arab revolt (apparently you're ignorant of Lawrence of Arabia too). You talk about loyalty like the snake talks about loyalty; Erdogan's loyalty is to the Turkish people, like that of every national leader (well, Western leaders hate their own people).
Living standards, economic and military power are declining in the West but rising in the East. Western Europe will go back to being a dank backwater peninsula, just as it was for the entirety of the Dark Ages.
