The majority of women late 19th and early 20th century never wanted feminism either. They organised against it, knowing the pitfalls. Feminism was created by the bored daughters and wives of bourgeois men, not grassroots. Prominent women who were antagonists to feminism you can read about: Phyllis Schlafly, Mary Harrington, Carrie Chapman Catt, Mabel Vernon. There is even a Hollywood movie about Phyllis Schlafly
