That means raising a kid to age 20 (using your BS number) would cost 55% of the average salary earner's total pay. If the mother works, half of her meagre part-time salary goes to child minders.

  7.  @nedlan1857  in a civilised country with universal healthcare and free compulsory schooling. uni debt is their debt, not the parents', typically. £100k = £463 per month to age 18, per child. They don't even need £463 for food/clothes/activities every month. Most people are poor and/or working class. You guys are stupid, and dont understand median income realities
