a vegan diet lacks heme iron and is too high in carbs. vitamin deficiency (especially B vitamins) is very common in vegans. Vegans and vegetarians tend to consume too many carbs, since plant matter is mainly starch (and starch turns to sugar). The good Dr didn't address protein digestibility, since it doesn't matter what you eat, it matters what you can absorb. Bearing that in mind, the Digestible Indispensable Amino Acid Score (an index showing how well proteins are digested) is completely dominated by animal proteins. Moreover, a lot plant proteins are accompanied by elements that block absorption (anti-nutrients) like phytic acid, oxalates, tannins, and lectins that not only inhibit nutrient absorption but also irritate your digestive system when consumed in large, unprocessed amounts (a big mark against whole grains)

olive oil on bread is great, what are these 2 smoking? also, cholesterol is created by your liver, so to demonize it is asinine. it's the VLDL that are dangerous and they only seem to appear in people with very high triglycerides (usually overweight, insulin resistant, diabetic or obese individuals), meaning high carb western diet type eating habits. Fat doesn't make you fat, carbs do. Downvoted the video.
