  1. "Liberal" doesn't mean anything; it's not a word that has much purchase in the UK, we tend to talk in terms of socialist (left wing) or conservative (right wing) principles. Younger Brits listen to a lot of American media who use the false dichotomy of liberal vs conservative, and then continue their ramble built on words that haven't been clearly defined. So it ends up being a meaningless, mangled mess of a statement. What exactly does "women are more liberal" mean? Are they voting Green or Liberal Democrat? No. Are they more engaged in civic minded endeavours, like charities, labour unions, green initiatives? No. Are they more promiscuous? Yes. So that makes them "liberal", does it?
