"Djokovic plays the best tennis" What do you mean by "best"?? He's the most winning, sure, but you're unable to grasp anything else but stats. He's a great mover, a great returner, and has arguably the greatest backhand, but he doesn't have the best forehand, serve, volley, smash, or slice in the game. Did you listen to the interview? He admits it's the least exciting style, and that's the REAL reason he doesn't get the credit. It's like watching a machine play tennis, and I've been watching tennis since 1992, I know what good technique and good style are. Djoker's biggest weapon is his clutch play and indomitable mentality, since he does not have the best technique (he's about level with Medvedev or DelPo, but makes nearly no errors)

@ExpertYouTubeCommentator he threatened to win his second major in 2018, but was beaten by novak after getting to the final. I agree, it's a shame DelPo didnt make more of his career

@doommonger7784 i didn't disrespect him. i outlined the real reason for fed having way more fans, and it's not east vs west, or orthodox vs catholic, or any of that crap. fed is an artist, novak is a machine; that is 90% of the reason for fed's popularity over not just novak, but everyone.

What are you talking about? It's less than Novak and Rafa, but it's more than Borg, McEnroe, Lendl, Connors, Sampras, etc. You talk about respect and suggest that Roger should be playing trick shots at an outdoor wine bar or something. @aleksandarcvetkovic5436 They would be ONE major apart if Fed took one of his two match points at Wimby 2019. The stats don’t tell you that. I say Fed is the greatest because on a medium, or fast court, he takes the racquet out of your hand. On a supremely fast court, maybe the only person just as terrifying is Sampras. Both nadal and novak have benefitted greatly from the worldwide slowing of courts, which is now creating scheduling problems for all the tournaments. They stick tie breaks on 5th sets, they introduce a 30 second shot clock, they try everything but making the balls and/or court faster (like they used to be). It's insane. I think 2019 is the perfect example of what i'm talking about: Fed has a 5 set match with novak, and despite having two match points, he loses (THAT Wimbledon game). Two months later, on a much faster indoor hard court, he dismantles novak at the World Tour Finals (it's a knockout match, since the winner progresses and the loser leaves). The career slam was so valuable because of the speed discrepancies of the courts; you needed a supreme defence to win RG, then one month later, you needed a supreme offence (mostly serve/volley) game to win Wimbledon. Now you can win all 4 majors with a baseline game. Stats don’t give the whole picture, and cannot

@oo0024 Fed has the record for most consecutive weeks at #1, which won't be beaten for many years, if ever. Consecutive weeks and total weeks are a measure of different things (dominance vs longevity).
