  1. They are working. Domestic work; looking after their kids, homes, husbands, siblings, parents. They have extended families over there. You can't apply American attitudes to work to Asian cultures

  2.  @definitelyabot  If the women were out working, they would have to pay the cost for all the things the household is now missing. How much does it cost to pay for elderly care, kids' day care, paid domestic cleaning services, at home tutelage (for the kids), gardening services etc? Women have more leisure time if they undertake all the domestic duties above, themselves; and you wish to talk about "freedom", unless it's freedom from a pay master / boss 😂
