Joe's guest used a made-up word (Melanated); his whole thesis is built on the darkness of skin, which is like clumping all the Celts, Germanics tribes, Mongols, Arabs, Berbers, Turkic, Semitic etc cultures all together and saying all these people are a single whole. Instead, these are disparate cultures, with their own ethnicities, and phenotypical features. "Black" is not a culture any more than "white" is. He doesn't and cannot know what African history is because the historical record is thin and colonial expansion has robbed Africans of that knowledge. Now, this guy is trying to claim famous historical figures as "melanated", in order to derive some strength from a fictitious past. Hannibal's ancestors were Phoenician, which sits roughly where Lebanon is today. I'm not saying he can't draw on history to foment his own sense of pride, but he's plucking at the wrong places.
