The people who are going specifically with the scientific consensus (because that's all we ever have to really go on) irrespective of their political beliefs (be they left or right) are entirely rational. The people who believe in a thing BECAUSE of the group they feel they belong to are an example of the worst kinds of people. It's where all the disdain for "the mob" originate. You are an unthinking, groupthink afflicted anti-intellectual rabble-rouser. You're worse than ignorant, you're harmful.
