it's the same as any empire. the romans constantly had to beat down uprising from Frankish, Gothic, Gallic, Brittonic peoples. we know the names of Vercingetorix, Boudica, Arminius and many more, specifically due to uprising against the Romans.

@christianweibrecht6555 Rome (the city, the capital of the western empire), was sacked five times, by the Gauls, the Visigoths, the Ostrogoths, the Vandals and the Normans. The Ottoman capital was never sacked
