@dicerevo "but this just sounds like excuses" - flippancy is the mark of a tw@t

@SDB_Dev the higher up's are just concerned that the workers aren't replacing themselves. Get a clue mate

tell 'em Preston! it's always nice to hear from the 90 IQ crowd. God help your children
7
@passiveaction kids in developing countries are assets. Kids in western countries are liabilities. Get your head around that and you've solved it

@Patrick_Tremblay we already live (compared to just 50 years ago) with far more technoilogical help than at any time in the past, and yet we're still clocking the same (if not more) hours as we did in the 50s and 60s. The productivity gains from new tech will just go to the top 1%. "Boss makes a dollar, I make a dime"

@SabzKhumalo she's fertile and that's all u need to know

@passiveaction it's not just perspective, it's the lived reality of raising a family in the west. Raising two kids in a household (or adjoined houses) with an extended family present is a totally different arrangement to this western nuclear family sickness. I'd bet my bottom that rates of post-natal depression are lower in extended families, but there's no good data

@passiveaction well said

@vknight7497 it's more than the aristocracy give credit for

@lorrilewis2178 "fertility slaves" - is that the 21st century term for 'mother'?
2
@happy153ful You call yourself "happy" but you're fine with the mass destruction of wildlife, and honestly believe that: "extinct species can be revived as well." You've been watching too many Jurassic Park movies
2
@lucyross5478 "I would never go back to my mother's or grandmother's childhood, for women couldn't borrow money in their own name or controller fertility. But I will not pretend that I haven't yearned for older and younger women living next door or in my house to help me deal with crises." So you choose the death cult of the West? haha

nice to hear from the 80 IQ crowd

@heyhey439 Indian women are slaves? news to me
1
2:27 "where all the good men" -- "they're enjoying being Hugh Hefners". The Hugh Hefner's aren't "good men"

The rich wanted workers to be more independent, because when people have less familial support they buy all the things that extended families used to provide (they're better consumers). What the rich will never understand, is that life was worth bearing when you had your extended family.
1
@aafgahfah "i don’t know you and done wish to argue, but it’s a fact that thi biggest families in the u.k. comes from the poorest levels of society" How do you square your BS premise with the reality that people aren't replacing themselves? You will never understand, and that's a good thing
1
@lorrilewis2178 men looked after their women prior to them being able to do outside salaried work
1
@lorrilewis2178 everyone has to be in a relationship to not starve, unless they're subsistence farmers. Don't be childish. Your choices are to have a relationship with: your husband/partner or your (predominantly male) work boss(es). Do you think your work boss cares for you more than a husband might?
1
@lorrilewis2178 hello Lorri, do you see the bleedin problem with telling all women they need to be self-employed? 95% of women will never be; their companies don't last either.
1
@33nlg you look after each other, child
1
@passivelyasking4825 it might help you if someone pointed that a husband and a work boss are two completely different things
1
@heyhey439 ok then, feminism is a death cult
1
@happy153ful "Also potentially innovating our way out of climate change" - -- you actually can't do that. The only thing that can help the weather systems and wildlife is less human activity. during covid lockdowns you had burgeoning local wildlife, even in big metropolitan areas.
