He's been fighting for 15 years, so perhaps he'd be contemplating retirement even he was paid Conor McGregor money, to buttress your point. On the other hand, it's tough to discount salary as a motivator. This is how he pays the bills, and if getting hit in the head isn't paying for his retirement, then that shit gets dispiriting quickly. On a tangential note, the UFC fighter roster should be taking home 50% of total Zuffa revenues. I doubt that's currently the case.
