  23. Dave doesn't understand fractional reserve banking. The bank does not lend out e.g. 90 of your $100 deposit. They simply create money (bank deposits) to lend; at the end of the day, they borrow any money (usually central bank reserves or treasuries) in the overnight window to make sure that 10% of all outstanding loans are represented as reserves.
