You're also leaving out crucial information btw, namely the fact that Israel stole its land from Palestine and killed everybody who spoke out about it. It killed the people who protested, and it killed people who tried to offer humanitarian aid. And it kills people who report on any of this, too. What you described isn't Israel offering "a chance for peace" as you put it, Israel effectively told Palestine "let's not turn this mugging into a murder"
