The old "boys learn by doing" meme isn't a fact as far as I'm aware, but even if it was, are you saying that boys should not even be doing cerebral classes at all? I've been through higher education, in classes that were 100% male, and despite rote memorisation being a large factor, we weren't exactly struggling. Athletes are falsely accused, how does that imply a hatred of "jocks"?  Atheletes get their own multi-billion-dollar event every four years, they get paid a fortune and they come home to actual crowds of cheering people.  Give me one other career where that happens.  You can't.

  39. It's absolutely not a teacher's job to challenge the language they teach, and they certainly do not take credit for the evolution of English, especially considering that langauges change even without teachers changing it.

  40. The whole of the Anglosphere propagates new words, a teacher did not invent the word selfie, nor were they responsible for its propagation. Teachers are just teachers, its the professors that study English who understand it best. Although I don't see what is to be gained from challenging a language that has no central authority in the first place.
