It seems clear to you what it means, exactly. He makes it so his audience fill in the blanks themselves, of course it's clear to them. He is whatever you want him to be. But that's dangerous.

There is a hardcore transphobe movement in Scotland and they did infiltrate the biggest political party there, who chose not to stamp it out incase it lost them votes (which is doubly pathetic because they can absolutely afford to lose votes) I don't know if Scotland is significantly worse than the rest of the UK, but the UK in general is especially bad by european standards for transphobia and its ruling class doesn't consider it to be a problem. Things came to a head recently though, as one of the most influential terf politicians was sacked so we may be seeing the tide starting to turn? We'll see!

Technically not actually convicted under any hate crime law, but under the Communications Act which covers people being offensive as fuck

@bebinsect Oh you didn't watch the video then

HOW TO DEBATE LIBERALS AND DESTROY THEM
2
Drinking alchohol "fucks with" your biology. Being scared "fucks with" your biology. Even medicine does Like, give me something that doesn't actually contribute to physiological change over time lmao Oh oh oh but hormones are bad? Those things that the human body produces anyway? Mmmm sure thing kid
2
Hey, I just made a factual statement, I didn't base any logic on it. So it's not a logical fallacy. What I'm saying is that regardless of if racism is or isn't a problem, people like you are going to say that it isn't.
2
Are you suggesting that there isn't as much oversexualisation in heterosexual communities? Also the defense of postmodernism is laughable. Your conclusion is that any attempt to undo injustice is marxist.
2
Alright, well I'm here to tell you that you are wrong. Straight people do the exact same thing. The only concession I'll make is that straight people don't have mardi gras. Doesn't it make sense though? These people are judged, ostracised and sometimes worse because of who they choose to have sex with. It's not LGBT people that chose this path, society decided to make their sexual behaviours into a huge deal first. Your definition still doesn't earn the "postmodern" title. And the rest could be applied to literally anything. Islam, Nazism, Monarchism all have these fundamental classes, are they also postmodernist? Of course not. Asians having a higher wage than average doesn't make the systematic jailing and execution of black people suddely "not racist". America is a county where actual, literal nazis run for office. Don't tell me there isn't a racism issue.

One of the scariest things that happened when I read about incels was noticing how much I had in common with them. Being alone sucks, but living like they do is the lowest it gets.
2
So Tati was implying that James Charles is in fact a rapist? Then why...why wouldn't she just say that? Rape is not a "trick", rape is not confusing people about their sexuality. Your interpretation of events does not make sense.
2
"You should have ascertained B.A's stance before paying for his input," It is absolutely fucking wild that people are suggesting this. Vetting? Background checks? Putting the logistical nightmare of profiling dozens of people across several decades aside for one moment, how would this even work conceptually? Out of all the potentially sensitive topics you could be reasonably expected to discuss, simply communicating your thoughts and feelings in a manner that can be understood while maintaining context can be exceptionally challenging. And in as little as a few years, a single tweet can go from being progressive-sounding to problematic depending on how the discourse plays out. Sorry but until you can explain how to navigate this (and if I wasn't already clear, you cannot) you're just tilting at windmills.
2
@spiritbongtarotdivination5272 It's not hyperbolic at all, you have simply neglected to consider the ramifications of what you said. Your position is that if there is any ambiguity over a stance, then clarity should be sought out. So every time somebody collabs with somebody whose position on NB people is not yet known..they have to ask. But there is a huge range of potential stances one can take on a staggering number of issues. Most of which aren't exactly listed in our instagram bios. Should we seek clarity for all of them? Because they can all potentially be equally problematic, so the same potential for 'shade throwing' at marginalised groups exists. I don't treat any of my personal or professional relationships this way, neither do you, so it's just beyond the pale that we'd expect it of a youtuber.

Are any of the cited authors even left wing?

"Enforcement" So, not like what's in the bill then

"White nationalism does not equal white supremacy", he wrote. Hot, bitter tears spilling into his glass of skimmed milk. It killed him to resort to such transparent talking points, but his wounded pride was doing the talking now. He did not even know who he was writing the paragraph for, was it himself?
2
Why would I present an argument to somebody that already knows he's wrong? You don't need to be educated in matters you already know about. You KNOW that effectively there is little difference in white supremacists and white nationalists.
2
Baseless: Yes. Incorrect: No. You can use all the plausible deniability you want, but we both know the truth. In practice, white nationalism and white supremacy would look very, very similar. White supremacists JUST SO HAPPEN to wish for a nation for them only, and white nationalists JUST SO HAPPEN to want a political system where they reign supreme. I'd like to ask one question though: Why do you believe I want to blur the lines? Because from my perspective, both groups are to be demonised and removed from society. Like, I'm not trying to tar innocent political opponents with the "bad guy" brush, I truly believe they're all the bad guys. Even if you convinced me they are different beasts, I'd still want them both put down.
2
Look up the Smethwick 1964 election, it's widely written about so you'll find a wealth of perspectives. Back in the old days there was no distinction between Indians or Africans, they were all "black" up until the 90's I believe. And they all got similar treatment. In regards to Scotland, it's worth noting that the Scots are much less racist than their Southern neighbours, if voting trends are a metric worth going by. It's also the case that persecuted minorites harden their conviction and pride, we saw this happen to the Catholic minorities of Britain and we're seeing it happen in the parts of the UK where Islam is hated most. Given that there is a strong correlation between faith and ethnicity, I'd be very suspicious of anybody claiming not to be racist, while still being Islamophobic. "Islam is not a race" is commonly an excuse given by people who nonetheless have a problem with people of a certain race.

false
2
Why should we? You're doing a fine job of fucking your own life up without my help.
2
@theliberation9061 Okay but Biden did literally instruct people to not vote for him
2
It's almost as if SJW was a buzzword all along or something
2
Except for the part where fascist movements tend to kill as many whites as they do anybody else.
2
@fauconleger7067 Uh, literally just pick any fascist movement my dude Germany slaughtered Europeans by the million Spain killed off its own kind Italy too Are Chileans white? Whatever, they killed their own kind. All fascists are traitors. All fascists seek to destroy their own nations first.
2
Why a year and a half specifically

Unlike the majority of philosophers and intellectuals, Contra understands that 99% of people cannot appreciate philosophy the way those who dedicate their lives to it do. It's not fair to expect the common man to engage with those at the top of their ivory towers, any more than it is fair to expect a philosopher to understand the many nuances of plumbing. If you dedicate your career to one field, you CANNOT be as nuanced in other fields. Therefore, Contra makes high-level thought accessible to those without the benefit of years of study in the area.
2
@jessicawinnefeld2967 You aren't wrong but Trump is genuinely a product of "lesser evil" doctrine. He would not have come close to winning had they picked a good candidate to oppose him.
2
@pickcollins9910 "edgy humor" He's about a decade too old to get away with that excuse lol " Bc it’s Vaush so it’s ok, right" Literally yes, fuck him lol
2
You're lying though. We've seen decades of complete suppression of left thought, to the extent where just being left-of-centre ends your career as a politician, and you're accusing the left of being intolerant? It's not the left who murder people for not being left enough my dude.
2
I'm not willing to consider the fact that you just hadn't noticed the aggressive intolerance against anything left-wing, so yes.
2
@TheNightWatcher1385 Can we stop and acknowledge you're no longer addressing what I said?
2
@TheNightWatcher1385 But those aren't observable facts, there's nothing you can observe to evidence that. You're just defining words.
2
@TheNightWatcher1385 Correct, words are not facts. They are words. That's why encyclopedias and dictionaries are seperate things. Pretty astonishing I have to explain this to you, have you considered that you may not be as well-informed as you think?
2
It's AI - you can sort of tell if you listen closely
2
So North is West but South cannot be west
2
His main point was a lie though. He claimed the bill contained things it did not. He lied. (He's also clearly a conservative, I don't know how you can even deny this)
2
This dead meme again smh
2
"You critique capitalism...and yet you exist within capitalism! I AM VERY CLEVER"
2
>was it racist for europe to colonise and pillage an entire continent HMMM GEE I WONDER
2
There were like, two or three countries that weren't colonised, right? So...what are you saying here exactly?
2
Communists have had control of what, China and the USSR? Some South American countries? Vietnam? The west doesn't even elect leftist parties, let alone establish communism.
2
@genmaicha.lapsang "They are actually." Incorrect. "If capitalism is so bad as Contra and FD Signifier say then why are they thriving under it?" Because they're effectively self-employed. I'm sorry, but could you maybe come up with a criticism that wasn't soundly refuted over 150 years ago?
2
I did the research and you are incorrect. Try again next time.
2
" And forcing ideas like "biological sex doesn't exist", yeah, it's defintely kind of orwellian" You say this, but you're not actually able to define biological sex. THAT'S orwellian. You don't know what the phrase is or what it refers to, but you know you have to say it to prove your loyalty to your in-group.
2
@CarlosLopez-xi2rq "Biological sex is definded firstly by a well discriminated chromosome configuration" Oh yeah? Explain why some women have XY chromosomes and also functioning ovaries and wombs then. You can't. "then by the production of a different kind of gametes (spermatozoïdes and ovulas), then by a different sexual apparatus and the capacity (or not) of growing a child and give birth (except of course when anomalies happen), by secondary sexual traits like breast, by identifiable traits on the skeleton and muscular level (this os how you Can define the sex of a skeleton in forensic science and archaeology) etc" Similarly, none of these are uniform. " It's orwelian to have to explain basic biological concepts" What's Orwellian here is that you think a 'basic' understanding of the world is sufficient. You refuse to acknowledge advanced understandings of the world. To you, only the things you learned in school are allowed to be true.
2
@ninaxwings gonna just leave me alone in jail smh
2
There are insular parts of twitter who do nothing but get really mad at left-wing creators for not being left-wing enough. For example, when Contra played the role of a nazi and used a nazi hat, they got super mad for some reason You don't hear about these people very much because they don't want outsiders coming in, etc
2
Consider the possibility that men have been percieved this way for a very long time, women just weren't telling you. Also I have no idea where you work, but at any place I have worked, violence would mean leaving the job right there. I am still convinced Peterson is an actual honest-to-god sexist, this isn't the only time he's outed himself as such.
2
Crazy how so many libertarians have more sympathy for fascists and nazis than their victims
