@otyugsdisplacerbeasts7943 fyi a thing can be racist even if you don't personally have a racist agenda. The idea that non-european cultures are inherently less civilised has been around for centuries, and even otherwise well-meaning people allow it to influence their thoughts without realising. "Bibles really haven't changed much if you disregard the ones that have changes" Well when you're right...you're right.

But...we can see that it was written by more than one writer? Even scholars know this, people who dedicated their life to understanding the bible. Prove to us you know better, george

@rhysnichols8608 The quote is "they wouldn't have looked this white" White isn't an ethnicity. So he wouldn't have looked white. His actual ethnicity isn't being called into question, but his appearance is.

@phoenixrisin2269 I'm pretty sure the genocide did more harm than the loss of language but I'm no elder so idk

@georgehunt6381 George I have to level with you: If this was how it worked, we wouldn't need Bibles at all! We'd all just recieve the word of god through divine inspiration! It might be easy to dismiss everybody else as non-believers, but plenty of Biblical scholars have dedicated 40 years of their life to their faith, they don't all arrive at the same conclusions. Is it really easier for you to believe that they're all faking it, and have been for most of their lives?

Bro even Europeans don't stay white when they live out there for a couple years

Hugo let me level with you here: When explorers discovered ruins in Africa, their first assumption was that ancient Europeans had a colony there. There has been a longstanding tradition of refusing to accept what non-europeans built.

@mercedesCH I genuinely have no idea what you're referring to, this is about as unbiased a presentation as you can get

I didn't realise the concept of trinity wasn't originally part of the religion, or that people killed each other over it. But like...why? Of all the changes to make, this one has the smallest theological ramifications! What does adding a spooky ghost change about Christianity? Nothing! Who could be so invested to fight over it?

Yeah uhh not gonna take moral teachings from the genocide cult lol

@Johann-4354 Well, clearly something happened to the native population is all I'm saying
