  4. I'm in agreement that nobody drops dead from not getting laid, but just so you're aware: The 'passing' eventually passes. There comes a time when you realise that your body will interpret anything more than a handshake as either inappropriately intimate or an act of violence. You can no longer touch or be touched. Hobbies are good, but eventually people split off to start families of their own or devote their decreasing free time to more important friends. Your ability to connect with others atrophies. Just like drinking too much or lifting with your back, you can shrug off the effects of isolation when you're young. But the effects accumulate regardless. Try not to end up this way later in life.
