@skyaero8773 The really wild part is that the directors were publicly outlining some of the trans messaging even way back then - I knew there was a trans character in the movie before I even saw the movie, before I even knew what a trans person was! And nobody bat an eyelid! We thought that was cool!

Functionally, what's the difference between work that wants to make you think that war is good, and work by somebody who just believes that war is good? Because propaganda evolved past this point a while ago. Once upon a time propagandists didn't actually believe what they were making, nowadays they do. @parisbower6939 Nah, there's definitely something more to it. My family don't even pretend it's not a problem for them, my friends quickly try to shut down conversation on the subject. At work you can see people's opinion of you change in real time, it works the other way too. The new guy got taken much more seriously after our coworkers found out he had plans to marry for example, but I would get shouted down in meetings. And we can all see what gets written on social media now, people can express their thoughts more freely and what they think about us isn't good.
