I think it's spelled capitalism

@JK-gu3tl Do you realise how unproductive somebody has to be before it becomes a loss for the employer? Employees produce almost all wealth that exists.

@JK-gu3tl Good question, the answer is that the vast majority of wealth they produce goes to their bosses. If I got even half the wealth I actually produced, you better believe I'd have a business of my own going.

@lukeulibarri3924 There is no distinction to be made between crony capitalism and capitalism. Just because you don't like the consequences, doesn't mean it isn't capitalism. There are no variations of capitalism that can exist without 'corporatism'. There were no 'good old days'.

@alokbaluni8760 Just because a butterfly looks different from a catepillar doesn't mean it isn't the same animal

Dawn, Speaking as a communist, I should let you know that UBI is not the same thing. In fact, communists are actually pretty skeptical of UBI! We don't think it's the answer here. Regardless, there are countries that have no welfare at all, no help or assistance for the poor. Poverty is still an issue in those countries! In fact, it's even worse! People die in the millions as a result of this! Sorry but the evidence is clear, people are not poor because they have no incentive. You can't tell me people are dying yet aren't incentivised enough to try and not be poor.

If poverty is a problem with mindset, how come the increase and decrease in poverty levels correlate with economic policy? Do you honestly think it's a coincidence that millions of people suddenly become poor after their taxes are hiked up again? You think everybody just forgets how to spend money? No, that doesn't make sense at all. You can't look at what is happening and say "Wow clearly booze is the problem here".

@lukeulibarri3924 " collusion between a business class and the political class. This is often achieved by the manipulation of relationships with state power" Yeah that's literally just capitalism Even without tax breaks, subsidies etc, the business class have always relied on state power to profit. Always. "According to your logic, there is no distinction between canines and felines because they are all mammals in the end." ..you realise the classification of animals is wholly arbitrary and the lines are just wherever biologists say they are right? So..yes.

@lukeulibarri3924 I dunno dude t's not very convincing when you ignored everything I said in favour of 'noo but I define it this way'

@lukeulibarri3924 "You just said that you "dunno"" Going to interpret your desperate attempt at attacking colloquialisms as a concession, thanks for playing

@lukeulibarri3924 Cool story man, get back to me when you look up the rest of the words you're misusing in a dictionary But taking you seriously was never an option once you decided that common turns of phrase were to be misinterpreted on purpose
