  3. Apledore I'm not seeing it, they seem to be saying something else. The central focus of the Bible was never a relationship, it was about redemption and being forgiven.  Ask yourself why Jesus came to earth in the first place?

  4. Apledore We're talking about an entity that placed a fruit in the garden specifically for people to NOT eat, knowing full well it would get eaten.  "Why" isn't really a question we can ask, humans can't comprehend or relate to it.

  8. Apledore Not necessarily, you can forgive a total stranger if wronged. The term "father" means "creator" in this context, not actual father.  I mean if we're not actually speaking with a father, are they really a father?

  9. 1sola1verita In the early times, it was apparently not too rare to actually interact with God though.  Same can't be said today.
