  3.  @Atticusratticus  Nothing there to suggest they were. Whether it is an undue search depends entirely on the area, the situation, and whether it is a rental car. The explanation "just hanging out" doesn't instill confidence. You are the one entering race into the equation, so you are guilty by your own admission.
