  1. dont dis, we had a decent rover going to mars but that for sure got dumped off the side of the road by the usa 😂 there was a documentary follwing its construction start to finish. and yes it involved an old doddery guy in a tweed jacket 😂 but he knew his stuff.

  4. always skeptical. decades ago some chinese guy grew trees of nanoscopic crystals of varying types. each arm of the tree held a different type of crystal, each reacting to a different wavelength of light. he managed to scoop most of the frequencies and made an ultra efficient (i think it was up near 95%) conversion to electricity. that was forgotten somehow. i saw similar created another two or three times in the years since. also guys like the fisherman who got an idea while changing his net bobber lights batteries... he sandwiched a solar film and a bioluminescent film, rolled them up into a battery shape and created a low current battery that ran for 10years without needing charging. he was awarded innovator of the year or whatever by nasa and awarded $50k. nasa hold the patent as terms of the prize money. we never got the batteries did we. we got lithium instead...we could have not. but yeah..hate seeing solar advances that are little compared to what we are capable of making but dont because of drawn out profit scraping.
