@jackmichaelpeter my rule for what i give my cats...if its big enough that you can kill it, you can eat it. No pork or beef because theyre not designed for it, causes intestinal issues....id say evolution handed us the same cards. Cavemen ate mostly fruits and nuts (whole lot of root vegetables and seeds) and the occasional small game or fish. Very occasional. Some made jerky type stuff for travel. Mostly vege though

Glad that study resolved it all. You should update the fda and tell them they need a new catagory.

Imagine evolving far enough that you get the brains to tell you its wrong. I mean even my cat gets it 🤷

@laaaliiiluuu we left the forests. Gave up living in the overly abundant kitchen for running around a field catching rabbits. 🤷. Guess that was the first major mistake humans made past tools.

@laaaliiiluuu should look up the study on the gut biomes of tribesmen around the world vs modern society. Long story short we no longer have the required gut biomes, we killed em off. My siblings (half) were born in a villiage in sudan. Drinking milk straight from the goat or whatever was encouraged because it made them stronger in terms of digestive health. look what we do to our milk 🤷 sterilize it. We're ruining our own bodys. Our own evolution

Oats and nuts would do the same :) and its more towards our natural diet.

@blakemartin2140 thats not true weve been consuming meat for quite a while, we have adapted. But...in the west we stretch out our stomachs with excessively large meals of poor quality. And pin ourselves to three meals a day. It leans us towards a preference for meat. Go back to what they found in the pockets and gut of the ice mummies...seeds and nuts. That guy was on top of a damned glacier wrapped in fur..and what was he eating...berries and nuts 🤷 ive only known one hiker carry some meat with him..the rest go for higher nutritional value ...yup..nuts and berries. No full stomachs there. You eat what you need.

@codenameuniccorn2412 tell it to the cannibals 🤷 all those longpigs going to waste. When they were so readily provided by that same god.

And here on puerto rico theres always a cooler filled with ice and plastic bottles.

@jellevanelten1483 you need to read the fda guidlines. Plastics are bad. Thats that
1
@Thraith As defined by those little non scary triangle symbols with the number. Theyre not raised for the blind to be able to read it for nothing. It is because it presents a danger.

Hotter while it was in the cow

Hmmm..acidy like soft drinks 👀. Yes its flawed.

Hes going against the worlds leading experts. So maybe dont follow celebs so tightly. They only want your money. ...or the money of a nice big plastics company. Learn your food labels, start with the plastics grading symbols 🙏stay cancer free

We are but were also evolving quite heavily. And...with that evolution brings us the intelligence to choose whats morally correct. Which is to get through your one life without killing thousands and thousands of others. That said i still eat meat. But i accept im a selfish horrible git for doing it. No excuses, im coming back as a slug or being tossed into the fires.

Yeah theyre ignoring long term effects in the studies. Along with the rising rates of cancer. That umbrella term has defined categories..and none of them are safe. Not a single one.
1
Its not just bpa's, but also there are no safe plastics according to the fda. They all carry a risk. Food grade plastics are also not completely safe, theyre rated by severity of risk. One thing to keep in mind is the fda arent good at longterm testing. The usa rolls mainly on short term testing for verification. ...just enough to make sales possible. It is not safe.
1
Silicone also not entirely safe, especially non graded silicones. Also silicone is actually porous despite its uses and appearance and allows moisture transfer. And if water is seeping through..virus will too. Stick with glass storage if you can. It also lasts a lifetime and doesnt wreck the environment.
1
Youll have to argue that out with the guy above who says bpas make the plastics softer 😄
