"Why Machines That Bend Are Better" written by Bender B Rodriguez

@toomzp4742 ^ wrong.

probably the only thing of relevance in the original statement, is that it only seems peculiar to us... but how many universes have we even started to study yet? one. kinda hard to say something is peculiar with a sample size of one.
6
@supernatural_forces so much insane spam, so little time to report you for it.
5
"That's not how you draw a trend line through data"... proceeds to use headline of a newsarticle on website as an argument. " uh fuckwit? he was showing you a picture of how to correctly draw a regression line through data. egad. would you fuckwits just stop pretending you science? it's embarrassing.
4
@robertfish4734 "The essence of science is consensus" it's exactly the opposite. we are trained to spend most of our efforts attempting to DISPROVE the currently accepted hypotheses. the reason theories form in science, is because of so many of us attempting to DISPROVE their supporting hypotheses, and fail to do so. you fundamentally misunderstand the function of science at a very basic level.
4
@eyescreamcake "I don't know what the resolution criteria could be that we would both agree on" don't bother. AGW deniers NEVER argue honestly. thus there is not a way that they would EVER agree on. same with creationists. they live in denial to begin with, agreeing on something where they could potentially lose is just too damn scary for them.
3
technically, it's more like adding mass across all parts of the "star spinner" rather than just at the low point, but for a simple thing, it's ok.
3
@quandilustenbinguslorsodo1501 you fail at reason and fact. theology IS irrational, period. embrace it, and stop pretending to science.
2
@dbmail545 " "Earth was in equilibrium before we started to perturb it slightly with a 5% increase in CO2 over natural sources" What a tool!" you seem to have very poor reading comprehension skills, given he actually showed you how it works. physics is a real thing, you know?
2
this channel has become a joke. what have you done to yourself?
2
@yashaswikulshreshtha1588 jesus, the level of gibberish in your response suggests you should seek out therapy sooner rather than later.
2
because it clearly does not ordinarily interact with observable matter, or itself. simple.
2
@europaeuropa3673 nope. all the volcanoes on earth only emit 1/100th the amount of CO2 that humans do, and an insignificant amount of actual heat.
2
@europaeuropa3673 " CO2 is not a heat source." irrelevant.
2
@MrJones-lz7ms "how is climate change explained since before the industrial revolution?" for the quickest single answer, I would suggest you start with studies on ice core data. then add on tree rings. then paleoecology.
2
@MrJones-lz7ms "how do you explain a 10 C climate change in 40 to 50 years" uh, because that never happened. never.
2
@vagabondwastrel2361 "The keynsian economic theory that the left uses simply doesn't work. It ignores human nature" said the neoliberal who believes in supply side economics? project much?
2
@europaeuropa3673 "do a simple experiment by yourself" ....walk into a greenhouse on a sunny morning. don't leave... just stay there.
2
@KryptonKr " the whole concept of God is ..." just that, a concept proposed by HUMANS. when will the religious ever finally admit this?
2
no. rewatch the video to see where neutrino interactions are accounted for.
1
@pluto8404 " then care to explain life and consciousness using “classical” science" I won't, but I WILL explain that what you are saying amounts to nothing less than expressing your own ignorance, and then claiming your ignorance is only explained by hypothesizing the existence of a deity. nothing more than the god of the gaps argument. you can stop now. you have failed basic science.
1
Enough. It isn't the computers that are the problem. It's people. A person can use a hammer to smash your window. Is the hammer the real problem here?
1
@stassgricko "which turn science into religion" science is by definition, THE OPPOSITE of the way religion works. religion says we gain knowledge via divine providence, science says we gain knowledge from observation and experiment. only the religious and ignorant suggest science is a religion.
1
@a-walpatches6460 yours is the argument from ignorance. you don't understand the inflation hypothesis, so you project it as made up. stop pretending to science, you know nothing.
1
🙄 Sensationalist much? unsubbed.
1
@johnknight3529 " Climate skeptics are a pretty big group" no, they aren't. they could be as a group, entirely ignored, and if it wasn't for the media propping them up all the time nobody would notice their absence at all. that's a fact.
1
nope. increasing entropy would cause the reverse of what is observed.
1
It's great that you can cover costs for your vacations with youtube videos, but surely you can do better than "nobody knows" which is complete BS.
1
"it ends up coming down to faith to decide whether or not this is real." for future reference, your argument here is the argument from ignorance. it does NOT come down to faith if you actually understand the relevant information. you clearly do not. that is not an insult, it just means you haven't spent the time necessary to understand it. I wouldn't expect a four year old to be able to understand linear algebra, for example. but do please try to understand your OWN limitations first.
1
no, it is not. what you are describing is what happened BEFORE science, which is the explanation trying to fit the observation, or "Post hoc, ergo propter hoc". science works in the opposite direction, from observation first.
1
" it's some fantasy thing we can't see" nobody ever said it was a fantasy... except you.
1
@Si383 absolute crap. now THAT is a fantasy.
1
theories include scientific laws of nature so... close, but no cigar.
1
"There is no CO2 underwater" uh, exqueeze me? yes, there is. there is also oxygen. less partial pressures of each than in air, but it's still there. how could you make such an insanely obvious blunder? Hell, the fact that there is CO2 in water is why the oceans are slowly becoming more acidic. this is NOT why basic concrete does not work in water. gees.
1
ever try pouring acid on concrete?
1
depression is treatable.
1
finally, someone who gives the correct pronunciation! I was watching comments from supposedly native German speakers who were getting it wrong, and it made me sad :(
1
though you did spell the phrase wrong. lol dunkle Materie😉
1
You said it in the beginning. Nothing has changed the probability of a coin flip. The only thing that is changing is your perception. This actually is a dumb question on the face of it.
