@bensemusx don't let your fanboy worship of Musk prevent you from seeing he has a lot of much BETTER competitors in the market out there.

"comparing it to regular widespread commercial aircrafts meant to fly millions to normal places isn't really fair" ?? it is EXACTLY fair. why the FUCK do you think they so rigorously test aircraft to begin with?
2
that's like saying your refrigerator has a better safety record on killing people than NASA. ridiculous.
2
@RawbLV yeah, I have never understood people decrying the controller. those things are extremely well tested by the companies that sell them.

I actually knew someone who flew these (and even bailed out of one :( ), they go much faster than the officially rated speed. you noted that ramjets can generate thrust to get things moving up to mach 5. well... there ya go. this plane actually could go much faster than 3.2.

Anyone recall how the right wing in the US blamed the failure of that helicopter rescue mission on Carter, when it had nothing to do with him at all, and the righties, were as usual, outright lying? I sure do. The civil rights era taught the GoP one thing: Lying was to be their go to strategy from then on. They doubled down on it even. Now, they complain (Lincoln Project) when others saw the obvious advantages of fomenting a cult out of the people who believed all the lies. don't complain about Trump, neoliberals, YOU MADE HIM.

hence why people are considering lawsuits.

stop projecting.

"until they are pried out of the Polar Prince / Oceangate" uh, you mean scraped. literally they are the consistency of peanut butter. and they already have been recovered.
1
what about the captain of the Titanic? you admire him as well I suppose. His hubris cost a LOT more people their lives.
1
no, it varies immensely. really really. that said, it wasn't even JUST the compression that was at issue here, it was repeated stress compression AND release. carbon fiber is terrible at retaining strength and cohesion under those circumstances. there are multitudes of papers about that, that Stockton chose to completely ignore, and this channel missed in their rush to get this article onto their channel.

"d Rush had company/ money issues and decided to fake their deaths to get out of debt" hah! We thought the same thing at first. then they found pieces of the sub with human peanut butter smeared on them. it's just too difficult to imagine them faking this with pieces of themselves that can be DNA tested.
1
" since it's not just the right thing to do, but good for business" now then, go apply that to the business formula at Tesla, and see if that works.
1
oh? Tesla failure rates on automatic driving are famous.
1
OTOH, apparently this specific sub made it down there and back 5 times previously so... the problems definitely arose from repeated stress, not specific singular stress.

@Mrbfgray if lithium is so easy to get, why are people like Elon willing to try and destroy democracies in other counties to make it easier for them to get it? why was there a huge decrease in supply when china shut down lithium exports for less than a year? You are truly an ignorant twit.
1
they found pieces of the wreckage with identifiable human remains on them, spread like peanut butter. stop going down the rabbit hole.
1
this is bad, because there IS NO SUCH THING AS CENTRIFUGAL FORCE. it is all just acceleration. centripetal acceleration in this case. even a first year physics student knows this. and this is why engineers are NOT scientists.
1
that... was his entire point.
1
nor bailing wire, and even no chewing gum!
1
he specifically mentioned it WASN'T the game cube controller that concerned him really. but you do you I guess.
