But they made the Russians pay HEAVILY for it, it both blood and treasure... and then got the territory back anyway after the end of WWII. In fact, it very much resembles the current war with Ukraine. Russians said they wanted all of it, but after heavy losses, their demands are shrinking daily. They will probably end up with just the port they took near the Donbass region in the end.

  21. sadly, if they veto Sweden and Finland entry, a motion will likely be floated to do just that. but Turkey does NOT belong in NATO while it is being run into the ground by Erdogan, that is true. it is no longer the bastion of democracy it used to be, that's for sure.   25. a lot of technically trained people have volunteered to defend Ukraine. Russia mainly either has intelligent, but entirely corrupt, officers, or brainwashed and braindead green soldiers. Russian officers have been recorded on video literally SELLING tanks and parts to Ukraine, and captured russian soldiers inevitably have no clue why they are even there. then there are the russian "soldiers" that just look at the whole thing as an opportunity for plunder.
