@JakubWojciechowski933 We can only hope. the supervillain thing is actually not too far fetched, and is not meant as a joke, sadly.
34
I would laugh so hard if Pence himself invoked article 25 with the support of the Senate. for about 5 minutes anyway.
26
exactly.
24
it could be, or it could be that Trump has fond memories of Germany since they allowed him to launder hundreds of millions through Deutsche Bank.
13
"They haven’t actually charged him with anything" yes, they literally have. that is why he is going to court. do you... not understand how the law works? a Grand Jury ALREADY has filed charges against Trump. Now he goes to court for a jury to decide if he is guilty OF those already filed charges. please tell me you are not quite as ignorant as it seems from what you posted?
6
"new Zealand for trump" as an actual sane Kiwi, I apologize for this waste of space who is both insane, and likely an american import.
6
aside from the lies you just spewed, I recommend you learn what the phrase: "whataboutism" means.
6
@learnerofsuntzu9325 "which bill barr presented in court," uh, no, he didn't. in fact, Bill Barr is on record as saying there WAS NO FRAUD. He even resigned because of what Trump was doing, and that's saying something coming from somebody as corrupt as Barr is. "which was very convincing may i add" evidence of nothing was very convincing to you? you know what I am convinced of? that you are completely delusional.
6
@Xiph1980 could also be a reference to how much Deutsche Bank enabled Trump by allowing him to launder hundreds of millions of dollars through them. He remembers Germany fondly.
5
they would not be responsible for the listing, but they WOULD be responsible for any included advertising.
5
@txkevin3467 " based on the statistical indications of fraudulent activity" you know, you saying obvious lies doesn't make them any more accurate than when Trump says them.
4
uh, the last president to literally be accused and tried on war crimes was Bush Jr. do you clowns EVER tire of being wrong? ever?
4
because Elon is NOT a businessman. he is a narcissist. it is also why he likes trump.
4
"People don't seem to realise this is about free speech" because it literally isn't. Twitter is a private company, not owned or controlled by the government in ANY way. you quite literally have no idea what you are talking about.
4
neither should Elon.
4
people are entirely mistaking what is going on here. it is not that complicated. Imagine if you had a salesman who could sell 100 times more cars than the next best salesman. They would then have the leverage to charge an upmarket fee provided they could keep that up. fair enough. it was in their contract when you hired them, as it was in the case of these lawyers. You pay them the fee, because they get the job done. In this case, they only knew for sure the car was going to actually be sold the day it got sold, but what difference does that make? did you not learn capitalism 101 when you were in school? Charge as much as the market will bear? it is hardly unethical, it is the very driving force of capitalism.
3
are you kidding? after watching it, they would accuse laser wielding space jews of creating it as propaganda. you will never convince them of anything... they are completely bugfuck nuts.
3
analyze the DAs use of money NOT to indict on the many, MANY previous charges they should have charged him with too then. idiot.
3
@haxie4516 I thought everybody who lived in the UK had become delusional at this point? Sadly, the US is not far behind. :/
3
Nospam Spamisham " Nearly every outbreak area in the US was a liberal bastion and no conservative bastions were hit." I wonder if anybody will bother to fact check that laughable lie. meh probably not.
3
@illogicalrelish "please, please, please could you link me a source on any of those claims?" lol, you're asking him to take a picture of his own ass.
3
"a dead giveaway" i'll bite. for what, exactly?
3
@haxie4516 now now, Riiyan surely is just a temporarily embarrassed billionaire. go easy on em.
3
Trump is the very definition of a male Karen. I'm surprised he didn't ask to speak to Raff's "boss". oh wait.. HE DID.
3
let me inform of something you can find out for yourself easily enough. Elon has NEVER had a good argument in his entire life. This, is a fact. Has he had profitable arguments? most assuredly. but NONE of them were ever good. quite literally.
3
"Their active users hav3 grown since he has aquired Twitter. ." I really don't know. is that true? what does google say... "Twitter's ad-portal traffic plunged 20.6% in June 2023 from the year before, according to data from Similarweb, which analyzes advertising portals as "an indicator of business momentum." Overall traffic on the platform has declined steadily since January, falling 5.8% as of June." "Musk reveals Twitter ad revenue is down 50% as social media competition mounts" source: CBS News, July 17 2023 doesn't look good for the accuracy of your statement now, does it?
3
he has none. he has his own legal team. duh.
3
but that would deprive him of his private soapbox. he would not have been able to tolerate that. still can't.
3
@maemorri it could have been a dogwhistle, or it could have been reference to the fact that he laundered hundreds of millions of dollars through Deutsche Bank while they conveniently looked the other way for years. They are the single reason he was even ABLE to run for office to begin with.
3
how ironic that it would have been those same republicans SAYING this 40 years ago.
2
so, basically you're saying that Elon is stupid in his business decisions. That fits. He has always made his real money via speculation. Whenever his ego gets in the way, he loses money. This is just the most obvious example of that.
2
hey, idiot... politicians were wide open for investigation at any time. hence why many HAVE been indicted, and some even served time. but what you REALLY mean, is you are hoping the GoP will use this precedent to abuse the legal process to try and prosecute any previous president you don't like.
2
I was with you on the first sentence... completely befuddled by the Qanon nonsense of the second.
2
thought the EXACT same thing.
2
"conservative content" is an oxymoron. until you understand this... all your crap SHOULD be banned. best for everybody, even you.
2
he got rich speculating, not accomplishing anything significant himself.
2
makes perfect sense in a capitalist society. very first rule of capitalism: Charge as much as the market will bear. I remember learning that as a frosh in high school.
2
@haxie4516 doing as he agreed to do, you mean.
2
I swear, people are just jealous of the raw figures involved. remember, relatively the lawyers in this case got PAID LESS than they would have on a smaller case. should they have charged less just because there is an extra 0 or two involved? hardly. first rule of capitalism: charge as much as the market will bear. in this case, they didn't even do that!
2
I bet you voted for Trump as well.
2
the GoP tried for 25 YEARS to indict Hillary on everything you could think of... they never had a single shred of evidence for any of it. pull your head out.
2
it would take a very very large overhaul for that not to be the case. That's why a LOT of businesses in the UK moved their servers to privately owned islands.
2
roflmao wait... Elon could literally make that work for him. hmm, not as humorous as I first thought. more disgusting, come to think of it.
2
you don't even understand what that means, and you using it completely out of context. sad.
2
just like Trump's lawyers, they will say anything he wants to hear if it is even remotely plausible. so long as he pays them.
2
uh, Trump was a big player on Epstein's list, btw.
2
the very word "terrorism" itself has been a club since 9/11. and it has smashed far more than any terrorist could have ever hoped to accomplish.
2
I swear, every person claiming to be republican needs to look up what "whataboutism" means.
2
you try to present a "both sides" argument, but you haven't even established the basis for your entire premise. you fail. I would NEVER want you as a lawyer.
2
"Instead we've decided that speech shouldn't be free if it hurts feelings" speech has NEVER BEEN FREE. Speech can literally cause damage and death. If you think purely free speech should not be regulated, you haven't thought about it for more than a minute.
