first customer who was unfortunate enough to buy one of these: "You know, if I wanted to play with a plastic brick, I could have bought a set of Legos."

@scottsanders4589 "it's funny because the only people going out and hurting people are left-wing fascist nutjobs like you. " yeah... that's why the FBI has listed RIGHT WING DOMESTICs at the top of its terrorism watchlist for over 20 years now. keep deluding yourself. seems to be working wonders for you.

@crisnmaryfam7344 "Smoothbore, and they are using projectiles modified not designed for it." would NOT work for this. ANY contact with the barrel will destroy it.
3
explosive rounds? yes plz. low velocity would actually help with that. you can fit a lot of explosive in a one ounce slug.

I thought this was going to be about the performance of the gun itself. oh well. (hint: it's crap)
1
yup.

I sure hope not. one, you would never be able to afford them. two, it's a security issue. three, civilians do not need these anyway, anyhow.
1
there are no commies. haven't been for nearly 100 years.
1
your hypothesis does not make sense unless it is planned to be a 2 stage training plan. why? because the rifle will perform significantly different with the higher pressure cartridge. you're saying that training on the cartridge they DON'T plan to use in battle is a good idea? hardly.

I'm not a terribly big gun fan, but this was a very enjoyable video to watch. that gun is just hilarious.
1
@youmad7068 look, just stop. you have never held one of these guns in your life, nor ever been close to one even. why pretend?
1
@crisnmaryfam7344 you have to think in terms of electromagnetics, not normal rifling depending on air resistance or contact with physical rifling. probably forged composite metals with different conductivity metals spun through. gonna make the projectiles expensive, but much more stable. you're also going to need a much more capable computer system to accommodate the changes in conductivity. This thing right now is still just a toy. like a nerf gun, if it shot metal slugs.

@the_chomper lol 25 bucks a mag is damn cheap. I highly doubt that's what your average Joe is going to pay for a mag.
1
@thatjokerperson7062 laughable. what a knob you are.
1
"Transfers as NOT a firearm at all." that seems more oversight than intention.
1
I would NOT want that thing on my shoulder... no way. what a piece of useless crap.
1
@michaelmichaelagnew8503 This thing has been in development for 30 years. This is as far as it has gotten. Do you wonder why that is?
1
"going by Trump as a comparison, Andrew's got the 2020 POTUS election bagged and tagged already... ;)" going by that comparison, my dead cat has the 2020 sewed up.
1
yup. great great grandkids. if it lasts long enough to have kids, which is kinda doubtful.
1
Looks like a great replacement for my lawn edger. What kind of gas does it use?
1
It makes me wince watching this. if it doesn't jam and cause a firing malfunction that ends up with someone taking a bullet, the sheer amount of force needed to operate this thing will just cause innumerable skin injuries as you slip off the bolt, etc. yeesh.

" I carried a Remington Rand M1911a1 in Berlin in 1990" sorry.
