That was a smart/clever ending to juxtapose the jury's decision to kill Ronald with Ronald's decision to kill Griselda and the Baby by ending with the phrase “..You don't have to do it..”

This defense attorney, however, did forget to spend considerable time harping on the fact that “Death” and “Life” do not require equal justification. Namely, a juror must have determined that the state had met certain concrete and itemized aggravators or ‘special circumstances’ in order to vote to execute the defendant. Like their concrete steps that have to be mad before the juror can vote to execute. In contrast, A juror does not need any justification in order to vote to save the life of the defendant. For example, the law doesn't specify (hypothetical) four factors that must be met before you can vote to save the life of the defendant. A juror can vote for life for ANY reason that they feel, but they can't vote for DEATH for any reason. So they can vote for life because they liked the tie he was wearing that day. But they can't execute him because they didn't like the tie he was wearing. 👆🏾 I would have definitely mentioned that because jurors aren't judges or legal scholars--they aren't even law students. Just a random cross-section of unassuming folks being paid like $7 a day to decide someone's ultimate fate. What could go wrong..🤷🏾♂️
