The entire Americas were populated by Asians who crossed the snow bridge from the ice caps still connecting Eurasia with America. Native Americans stayed North while some kept traveling South. By that time, those who stayed in Africa started tanning & darkening more than Caucasians who went North, Arabs who went East, and Asians who kept on going North East. It's why Amazonians & Natives look like South Asians, tanned, with squinting eyes. It's also why Oceania & South Asians look like them despite having an ocean between them.
