I only play adventure games IF THE STORYTELLING is a stellar, magnificent masterpiece. It's even better than reading a book or watching a movie in my opinion. Because my actions are taken into account, almost like a participating audience. I feel like a side character to an amazing journey. Unless its flawless, I'm not wasting my time. Might look at a few walkthrough clips to enjoy the graphics, but honestly, if the story isn't the main attraction, I cant be bothered anymore. But I fully agree with strategy & tactical games. This world makes you prone to decision-paralysis from all the options and information thrown in our faces. Playing games that exercise the part of your brain responsible for judgment & taking action gets to flex.

@Bryan_Fit_AF Those are RPG's, role-playing games. Active RPG's are called RTS games, real-time strategy. Meaning you must make the same tactical decisions, but under a time limit or spontaneously, kind of like professional chess, you got a timer to make your moves.

@punanislayer We do enough math in real life. You need hypothetical maths, like the ones in games, there's only so much math you can do day to day before needing fictional math.

@mkurb23 VR has so much therapy potential. From Elden Ring, to Final Fantasy, to Sekiro, to Dragon Ball Z, there are landscapes and maps, that if coupled with the right binaural beats, music & speeches, could work like completely new advanced fields of therapy. Especially with psychedelics.
