I think all politicians should be voted in ONLY with these 3 factors in mind: 1, they don't want to do it, they don't apply for it. 2, they're nominated by the majority of their locals, and 3, they show proficiency in civil, legal & financial knowledge. With term limits, this would guarantee that those picked don't have ulterior motives, they are called upon to serve, and don't trick their way into being called on. They're already trusted and asked to fulfill that duty temporarily, the better they do, the bigger the pay-out when they leave, which will motivate the next ones to do an above-average job at the very least. More wins than losses, no nonsensical tirades and feet-dragging.
