  1. I think the MeToo movement is trash, because I don't trust the general public with that kind of power. I get that sexual assault is a big issue, but that is what we have law enforcement for. You won't get a better result out of their investigations just because you write about it on the Internet. I don't think it's too bad when no names are mentioned, or any other identifying information. Then it's a story about what has happened to the person who wrote it... although it might still be fake, but at least there won't be a victim that comes out of it. Even assuming everything said is 100% true, I don't think it's right to give identifying information about somebody, at the very least not before a court decision has been made. Basically, I think the MeToo movement is too volatile.

  2. Exactly, that's the problem with it. The cause itself I fully support, but it's just... too volatile. I think it serves better as a support for those who are afraid of reporting someone for sexual assault, but in a "this happened to me as well, I'm willing to talk about it" way. In order to make sure people actually report crimes.
