Wearing a mask doesn't do much to protect yourself from the virus, but it does help prevent it from spreading. Even if it's not perfect protection, using it is still better than not.

@Mark.Watson They usually have to be in much closer contact than normal people. A mask is also more effective at catching saliva when you cough, rather than when someone else coughs. So it is more effective to prevent spreading it, rather than prevent getting it.
