@nickpapado3211 People are people. Potential viewers. He's not talking about one person, he's speaking broadly. Stop acting like you don't understand what he means, you just look stupid. He's been a streamer for a long time, he keeps track of the streamer scene, I'd trust his take on this. Statistics can tell you all about how being worse looking hinders you in life. It's harder to get a job even. It's not impossible, but it's harder. Again, an uncomfortable truth, but one we all need to be painfully aware of, otherwise nothing is going to change.

@nickpapado3211 I think you phrased it poorly. It made you sound stupid. That's all there is to it. As for what I want to change, it's the fact that people are judged by their appearance the way they are now. I simply do not think it's good that this anxiety you speak of is there to begin with. However, if we want to fix a problem, we can't solve it by ignoring the existence of it. In the case of being fat, at least there's something you can do about it even though it might be difficult, but simply being ugly is just something you're born with. I don't think people should be treated poorly just because they had bad luck with their genes. It's just as bad as racism, where someone is discriminated against because of superficial reasons. So I absolutely think it's important that people know about this issue. In a sense it might also be a good thing to know that people will not be as interested, because it helps with expectations. Without telling you my entire life story, I've had similar experiences after learning more about myself and other people, making my social life better and far less stressful.

@nickpapado3211 Sorry for calling you stupid, but please do understand that your phrasing was suboptimal. "Who are "people"?" is one of the worst ways to try to win semantic points and will only serve to make yourself look worse.

@nickpapado3211 It makes your argument look worse because it's purely semantics. Because it is already implied that people referred to no group in particular, just people in general. There is no group specified because it doesn't refer to a particular group. Would you prefer he said humans, or is that still not clear enough? Another thing that bothered me is that you're purely nitpicking at something someone said on a whim. Everyone misses details. Details also often make something less interesting. He is an entertainer, not a philosopher.

@nickpapado3211 You say it's not wrong yet you're still nitpicking.
