If only these decent hard working people could somehow, someway, defend themselves. Unfortunately they are in NY and must accept their fate.

@Underdog271 What? Why can't Bodega workers get handguns to defend themselves in N.Y.? The answer is stated. It is extremely difficult for good N.Y. citizens to apply and be approved to first own then second to carry a handgun. It's just how it is in N.Y and it is the law makers that have decided this, not the citizens.

@Underdog271 Just because you have a need, a reason, a constitutional right, clean flawless record and you're a decent human does not guarantee that you can get a handgun in NY let alone be able to get a license to carry it. Live a clean life, apply to purchase a handgun and they still decide if you should be allowed to have it. Being allowed to carry one is unheard of unless you know law enforcement, politicians or are required to have it for work I.E. Security. Do you follow N.Y. crime on YouTube? Notice the lack of stories about victims shooting their attackers compared to other states? N.Y. is not a free state like others.

@Underdog271 Of course; Bodega workers would have guns, if they were allowed to in N.Y. Sadly, they can't get guns in N.Y. and they are under constant attack. They are being killed.

@Underdog271 Why do I? It's not my choice. Let the good citizens of N.Y. buy and carry all they want but N.Y. doesn't allow this. In some states, to buy a handgun, all you need is a state I.D. from that state. In N.Y., you must apply to be able to buy one. It isn't a right like some states. That application can be denied.
