The problems exceed poor service, poor worker treatment and outcomes. While a model can be frozen, it won't be. they'll keep training them to stay current, and as black boxes they will malfunction in undetectable ways, often along lines that will reproduce oppression.

regarding ai hardware, it wouldn't be impossible to produce chips better at running neural nets faster than Nvidia, as Nvidia GPUs are not at all specialized to the task. Still, any semiconductor play is a pricey outlay.

@noneya313 It captures the idea that when you go to ask someone for help with your problem, you usually find the answer while explaining the problem to them. So to save time, explain your problem to a theoretical person who isn't really there, such as a rubber duck sitting on the edge of your desk. It works sometimes.
