  1. Its also very weird to imply the American right wing machine of hate started with Iraq. Its beennankey republican strategy going back at LEAST to Nixon. Yes, it led to Islamophobia, but the machine of hate taking aim at a new convenient target is longstanding, and iraq didnt really change that pattern much.

  2. i just cannot understand everyone buying colin powells lies at the time. I was just a random 27 year old guy with some political awareness and with some beliefs that imperialism isn't great. It was highly transparent that there was entirely no evidence being shared about why iraq was relevant to the current concerns. It was also very clear that the trade tower destruction had been seized upon to accomplish pre existing personal goals. Everyone should have been skeptical and almost everyone just bought that crap.
