And the ambitious Republicans (like Cruze) are defending Trump in order to gain that negative element's support in 2024. It's depressing AND infuriating.

  6. The best gag, though, was Trump encouraging his supporters to march to the Capitol building, and then (despite saying he would go with them) the instigator-in-chief went back to the WH to watch it all on tv. He sure pulled a good one on them.

McConnell refused to go along with Trump's lies about widespread election fraud, stating that democracy in the US would spiral out of existence if those who don't want to admit loss automatically accused the other side of cheating. That was the right thing for McConnell to have said, and he deserves our respect.

  18. Putin felt that NATO-aligned countries posed a threat, and now his despicable actions in Ukraine may result in an even larger alliance opposing Russia. At least there's something positive coming out of this horrible war.
