The sooner every country start to insist that the IOC foots the bills, or at least half of it, the better.
59
@cass416 But the Japanese are known to be unwelcoming to visiting tourists. You think that will change with the olympics, i doubt it. Their govt do not accept dual citizenships.
46
@TheGamer-ll2cs No the IOC won't go bankrupt, they will operate like FIFA and we know FIFA is very successful.
46
@PRodLyftz So that the LA economy will always enjoy a boost caused by the olympics, is that not selfish?
40
By going over budget? $26billion is a LOT of MONEYYYYYY to spend on hosting the olympics. I guess with an ageing population in Japan there is no need to save money for the future generation right?
31
This is a country that prides itself as being democratic but spends money like CCP China. lmao.
21
As long as her success does not go into her head, and she starts disrespecting her husband i guess she will do well. 😏
12
Nah that is not it. Just call it what it is, CORRUPTION! lmao....
12
Exactly.
11
Actually its not a challenge to build all the facilities, the challenge is the greedy corrupt govt officials that thought nothing of keeping to the previous budget. They saw the olympics as a cash cow and decided to indulge themselves. lol.
10
Why not make roofing sheets, for both residential and commercial buildings from them. They look ideal as source of roofing sheet materials....
9
A massive cost reduction is possible if they really want to do it. Japan just hasn't got the sort of strong leader who can put his foot down and insist on just that for sanity's sake.
9
Not a chance that will work, hosting different events in different countries will make it meaningless. Any country that can not host the olympics and keep to budget should not attempt to host it in the first place. The Japanese officials are corrupt for not keeping to budget its as simple as that.
6
@minh_tran02 Dude every so called advanced country in the world is very corrupt, they are just so good at hiding it. lol
6
Why can't the Japanese be truthful to themselves by simply saying criminality and corruption is behind Japan's bid for the olympics. How can an olympics that should cost $7,3billion become $26billion? Criminals and corruption in Japan. lol
4
If you can use free energy from solar to power your equipments, cost of producing the products reduces sharply.

How this business, is going to be sustainable in the long run, is going to be very difficult. Paying your workers 3 times the minimum wage, which contributes to high cost of the pencils and donating 3,000 pencils to schools, even when the old news papers given for free is not an ideal business model, that is sustainable even if you are doing your best to protect the environment..
2
Is $7,3billion not a fortune, why increase it to $26billion? Just imagine the 'opportunity cost/the alternative foregone' of that amount spent on other essential amenities that are absolutely necessary for the Japanese economy.
2
This is ridiculous! This should not be a private initiative and responsibility, but a govt responsibility. Is it not all about saving the State's coast line from losing land to erosion and climate change? This shows, certain State govts in America don't know what governing is all about any more. Leaving this job entirely, to private citizens is shameful at best...

A 5% - 10% 0il tax on profits of 0il and gas companies, paid to seal up the abandon 0il wells, should over time solve this problem. The industry created this problem, the industry should fix the problem...
1
@HusseinDoha But they knew all that at the beginning which is how the initial cost of $7.3billion was arrived at. So what changed, don't tell me its covid....
1
@insectbite1714 No recycle and upcycle first.
1
America never ceases to amaze me. This is a country that goes at length to invade countries through military actions, as well as impose sanctions on other countries because of their 0il, but it has 0il of its own unutilised. Utilising these 0il wells will bring down 0il prices tremendously in the US i am very sure..
1
@bngr_bngr And that will lead to over spending.

Fake news CNN reporter.

I will never, ever have a relationship with a woman who uses real human hair on her head. Why should she, is artiticial hair not better in the long run? The negative spiritual implications out weighs the benefits as far as i am concerned. I don't want to marry a woman who develops a 'banshe pocessed' screaming spirit because she has on her head someone else's strange hair....
1
Whoever this guy is and his company, both should be sued. How can you seek for and get a patent, for a natural growing plant that has been in use for perhaps centuries for food, washing and bathing? Ridiculous.
1
Why can't this inspiring stories come out of India all the time? All we hear is the bashing of countries like Pakistan, China and god knows what other country India's news media thinks up for bashing down the line....
1
Good video but i give it a 'dislike' because this video is one sided. Though the reason for plastic bags coming into being was because they were cheap to produce but it also helped to preserve trees cut down for paper making. Is banning plastic not going to be a problem. What if people start cutting down trees for paper making? That should have been in your story line.

She needs more funds to expand her business into other countries and into other areas like, soles for shoes made from recycled tires. However, due to the Nigerian government's unrelaible economic policies, small businesses like this hardly qualify for long time loans from the banks. The source of funds she requires will have to come from somewhere else.
1
Well maybe in the US and Europe its expensive, but take it to China, i bet you they will make a very, very good copy of it and it will be 100 times cheaper. lol.
1
Too stressful. It is a very specialised field. Not a very big business venture, only for a niche market..
1
An invasion by Russia? It is called a special military operation to save the Russian people of Donastk and Luhastk of the Donbass region as well as other villages affected by the neo-nazi battalion of the Ukrainian army. It is not an invasion, pls get your facts straight and stop being a puppet of western msm...
1
What is the point in making this video, if just 8% of used jeans can be recycled by this company in Pakistan. Not worth uploading i think.
1
He is a lucky guy. As long as there are women in India, this man's business will continue to flourish...
1
Why not re-use the collected flip flops, to make soles for new shoes like tennis canvas shoes. I am sure it is possible to re-use them for that...
