One lady ran up, but didn't get involved, one student casually glanced over and walked off, the security guard took a very slow stroll toward the scene, and then eventually others came over to help. That security guard was completely worthless. Seeing the teacher's aid pass out was disturbing. It's pretty obvious what that student's future will likely look like.

  29. No one said "little slip". If I'm not mistaken, a couple of other forensic specialists said the head trauma could have come from something less dramatic than a bat or falling off a cliff. It's mysterious, but stranger things have happened.

Religion has been the cause of so much unnecessary grief and shame. She is most likely where she was before conception - just non-existent.

  36. If you were to follow the whole trial, you would have seen the texts between mother and daughter that clearly showed the mother had no idea her daughter was pregnant. Skylar had gained and lost weight multiple times from an eating disorder, so she didn't look much different than before. The dad was completely clueless. I only gained 16 pounds with my first pregnancy and didn't show much. I never wore maternity clothes as I carried mostly internally, rather than looking like I was carrying a basketball. The very next day after delivery, I fit right back into my clothes. I knew I was pregnant, but probably could have hid it if I had wanted to. There was no evidence the parents knew at all. In fact, there was clear evidence that they DIDN'T know.

  37. It's very telling when sympathy isn't the reaction to someone crying. I am overly empathetic, but didn't feel badly for Alec, as it seemed obvious that he was putting on a show.

  39. The sentencing seemed appropriate. Jail time would have only worsened the childrens' pain. No doubt the parents feel horrible and recognize the err of their ways. No doubt they wouldn't have driven through the water if they had known what would happen.
