  14. First of all, good for the family for turning them in. I don't mean to make light of this cruel situation, but did they realize they'd have to pay for gas?? My heart goes out to this poor woman and her family. It's one of the worst things I've ever seen. I can't even imagine how she suffered. 💔💔💔

  17.  @amazingsupergirl7125  It's much deeper than that, but yeah, it's horrifying since he's just a boy. To be clear, he doesn't "like" raping and killing; that's probably what he was raised with. When children experience abuse, that impacts their brain, which explains how they can be capable of committing such horrific actions.

That's not to say that he shouldn't be separated from society for a very long time, maybe forever. It depends on how he would progress in intense therapy.

  21.  @WhoTFtrynaNuttinMyButt  People aren't monsters. We're generally a product of our environment. Not totally, but in cases like this, I guarantee he experienced similar abuse. That's not excusing what he did, but explaining how he could have committed such horrific acts.

The more we learn and understand human psychology, the better chance we have of lowering, recognizing, and providing better help for child abuse. To ignore a perpetrator's background is juvenile. Recognizing HOW the person ended up capable of such horrible actions shows mature thinking. That doesn't mean the perp shouldn't face necessary and appropriate consequences. It's just to have a better understanding of fellows humans.

No doubt they're confused as to why "god" didn't help them. Like I said, I skip past 999,999 comments or more without saying anything. I just care about society holding onto mythology, which is not helpful.   43. @king xray That still doesn't explain why God would create all of that mess in the first place. If he created everything, then he created evil and the devil, knowing all the harm it would cause. You don't find that curious? If you could have created a world any way you wanted, would you have created people capable of hurting children? Would you have protected children? He created a world where animals kill each other for food, where most of the world is uninhabitable, and life is a constant struggle. If God is powerful, surely he could have come up with a better plan.

  45. @king xray I'm very familiar with the Bible and all of the stories in it. Until I started thinking critically, I realized how much I believed without really understanding it. Even if Satan was a fallen angel, then God knew that would happen and created him that way any way. If you were in charge, would you have created a more peaceful world?

God already knew what was going to happen, so why not prevent all the pain and suffering by not creating him that way in the first place? If you knew something was going to harm your children in the future, would you avoid that thing and do whatever you could to protect them? I wonder why God would knowingly put everyone in harms way. You said if God had destroyed Satan on the spot, then fear would have been the motivation. Fear IS the motivation. Most people become believers because they fear hell. That is absolutely using a fear tactic to get people to worship him. What kind of choice is it really if one of the options is burning in Hell for eternity? That's classic bully move.
