These stories are always so heartbreaking. There's a traumatic backstory 99% of the time. These adults were all children once. Picturing the environment Zion grew up in, it's no surprise at all how he ended up. My heart breaks for him. How do you even process all of that?? ππ₯π Zion, I really hope you can get help somehow. It seems like you have a lot of love to give, especially to your kids. I wonder if there are any therapy programs available with your insurance. That's the root of the problem. You've been through serious trauma. Maybe you can give yourself a bit of a break realizing that you were greatly affected by those around you. Your kids can be the drive you need to get clean. It's not easy, but it would be worth it. π

I've always thought that the best prevention is trauma therapy. I haven't yet seen one addict that hasn't had some kind of traumatic experience in their life, especially in childhood. Rather than trying to combat the addiction after it's already taken hold, prevention seems a much better option. Personally, I'd like to see human psychology taught throughout school, from beginning to end. I think that's much more important than much of the nonsense that is currently being taught. If you don't have a healthy mind what do you have?

Β @michellerjackson5776Β I'm sorry to say this, but saying prayer helps can really set addicts up for horrible shame. They wonder why nothing changes even though they pray. It's heartbreaking.

β@gram7932 Yeah, I meant to mention that it's not the case 100% of the time. It's just the case probably 99/100. Good for you for getting clean. I wish you well. π

βΒ @b23beatzΒ I've always thought that since I was a teen. However, there are those who have been through so much that they almost can't help but reach for an escape.
