Of course her parents didn't deserve what they got, but kids don't come out of the womb like this. There was a lot that led up to this incident. A lot. This case should be a warning for us as a society to encourage proper communication and unconditional love in the home. Of course that goes along with appropriate consequences, but the love is the most critical.

@autonomousthought4106 I find it interesting to see grammatical errors pointed out, yet there is a clear lack of proper capitalization and punctuation in every one of your comments. I don't mind that at all; I just find it interesting. Looking at the discussion here, it seems likely that you were biased before the whole story even came out. I understand and have seen unwarranted defense based on race, but this was not one of those cases.

@autonomousthought4106 1. Let's say a shotgun had been dumped. What are the chances it would have been recovered by police? I would guess the area had been searched for evidence and evidently, they hadn't even made it completely out of the parking lot. 2. What reason would the shooter have for getting out of his vehicle to continue shooting while the car was leaving the scene? 3. Even if the kids threatened his life (which doesn't line up with witness statements), he did not clearly see a shotgun by his own admission. Considering no weapons were found in the SUV, logic points toward that part of the story being made up. It's also fair to keep in mind that we only heard part of the story here in this video. The jury had much more information to consider in making their decision.

Correction: THIS interrogator was skilled. Have you seen some other interviews? They are so cringeworthy.

Yes, but what I wouldn't give to keep him from saying "okay?" 9,000 times. It's better not to say that because it's a question, rather than a statement. I knew better than to do that when raising my kids.

@pingus9934 😂 I can't believe I missed that. Sometimes I use "talk to text".

Your commentary is pure gold. 🤣💀 When Jodi asks what would be different if she gave a clear confession, the detective blows it by saying nothing will change. She was right there! Tell her she can try a plea deal, tell her she'll be all over the news (which she likes), anything but what he said. That was THE biggest mistake in this entire interrogation.

Same here.

A perfect balance.

That's an insult to 12 year olds. Lol

@Tucanforpres001 It's horrible to see misinformation spread here with so much blind support. No, there is not a history of racial bias by cops. The data is available. See Coleman Hughes, Larry Elder, Heather McDonald, etc. There has been extensive research done of the subject. While the media would have you thinking differently, the facts show that white males are far more likely to be arrested. Also, minorities are less likely to be arrested by white cops. You don't get to make up your own "facts". I'm very familiar with the data and your claims are completely wrong.

@Tucanforpres001 Unless you're referring to certain states prior to the 60s, none of what you said is accurate. You must not be familiar with Heather McDonald. She has done the most extensive research there is on the subject. Coleman Hughes and Larry Elder get their facts largely from her work. There was a Harvard study done by Roland Fryer who actually set out to prove racial bias in cops. Guess what he found out? He was dead wrong. Are you suggesting you know more than these two people? Heather McDonald has written books showing the detailed data. You might want to check into that. As far as "cop culture", I absolutely hate to see anyone abuse their authority. Police officers who do not follow the rules and guidelines should be removed from their position and face appropriate consequences for their actions. However, while there are those who are less than honorable and some who are downright crooked, the vast majority are not. We can look at the data for that, otherwise there is nothing conclusive to go by. The culture that causes blacks the most problems is the stereotypical "black culture", for which there is a long history. It comes from the southern states which stem from Northern England. If you're item to learning, check out the book (available on Audible) called "Black Rednecks and White Liberals". It's really interesting and shows the history of the states that we never learned. Anything written by Thomas Sowell is eye opening. He's been doing research on these subjects for over 5 decades.

Did the demon tell you to get an Uber? 😂

Excellent analysis. How can that defense attorney sleep at night after painting Travis as the bad guy in front of his grieving family? To me, that's almost worse than Jodi. She's a complete narcissist, while the attorney has no excuse. She is absolutely disgusting. And as far as Jodi goes, her blabbing was really hard to stomach. I rolled my eyes SO many times. 🙄

@aarondenyerful We're not even sure there was any racism at play here. I'm not sure why the description was ignored, but we shouldn't automatically assume it was done with racist intent. Maybe it was, but we don't know. At least there was nothing to support that idea that I saw in the interview.

@Tucanforpres001 YouTube is not the platform to "detail" data. That was only one piece of data I referenced and it absolutely is a relevant part of the overall picture. I don't have the time or energy to explain how to read through data. If you're interested, you'll look into it. I read it for my own knowledge and you can do the same. TS and HMcD can explain the data much better than I can anyway.

Michael, despite the past charges and leaving his wife for a paid escort, seems legit. Like maybe he's had some rough patches, but he really seems like a pretty deep guy and somehow isn't bitter.

@Cincy_Kid I realize I'm unusual, but I wouldn't want hell to be a reality. I can't stand the thought of anyone being tortured. It sure would be great if life was at least fair and kids weren't hurt. 💔

What?!?! JCS dropped a video?! Yes please!!!

@nataliereed4238 Interesting. Well, that doesn't work so well when questioning a suspect. Lol.

@polepino 👍

@slewofdamascus Ha ha! Maybe both are accurate.

I'm laughing at every comment here. 😂

I watched up to the point where Baez claimed child molestation and drowning Kaylee and then couldn't watch any longer. It's too sickening to watch a second time. What a stretch and how utterly unconscionable to accuse your own father of something so disturbing knowing full well it was all a lie.
1
Yeah, I can't say definitely after watching one clip, but he does not come across as a fair or competent investigator.
1
@kristova91 It's not an excuse. It's an explanation.
1
@zach8156 Yes, gender has nothing to do with it. Upbringing can greatly affect a child's developing brain.

@bonnielee7134 Most likely she wanted to continue the relationship while he wanted out for fear of losing his job. At 38:53 he even said to himself, "You could have just told her to leave you alone." Most likely he didn't realize there were cameras recording his every word.

@Asdayasman I understand having proper representation, but both defense and prosecution have turned into a game. It's all about winning, and there is nothing honorable about that. For the defense to go along with her ridiculous claims of being abused and him being a pedo is unconscionable. Presenting facts is one thing; pretending lies are truth is a very different thing. If that was their son, I'd bet they would play the game very differently. I'm repulsed by both of them. They are basically spitting in the faces of real victims by pretending she was anything but a narcissistic, cold blooded murderer.
1
@dishonoredundead To be fair, we don't know if it was a day off. Hopefully not. And up for a promotion? Unless his superiors are as inept as he is, he would have to work long and hard to get a promotion after this circus act.
1
@CatFish107 Maybe so, but I'm not going to make any assumptions.

That ex husband dodged a freaking bullet.

It's interesting how much of the public expects police officers to not react with any emotion at all during some of these serious incidents or attacks. While it seemed inappropriate for the officer to have kicked him in the face, it's understandable why the officers spoke harshly to him during the questioning. I'm not saying it's professional or appropriate, but what do we expect here? Zero emotional response? I'm all for better training, but let's at least put ourselves in their shoes.
