It's just not worth the risk, unless you're willing to leave family behind. My heart goes out to her loved ones.

This was completely preventable. The pain must be unbearable. My heart goes out to all who loved these kids. 💔💔💔

@robertjensen1048 It doesn't have to be one or the other; there's a happy medium. It's awesome to enjoy the great outdoors, provided safety is kept in mind. It's one thing to go camping, hiking, skiing, etc. while taking proper precautions, and quite another to go hike the tallest peak ALONE during extremely dangerous conditions. Not wise.

It's just not worth it, especially during a storm.

That's awful! Which conviction are you referring to? I know she had a conviction in 2016 and lost her license for a year. If there was a conviction, surely there was an investigation.

@Kindred04 👍 That's exactly what I was trying to say - a happy medium. It's very odd how someone can see that there are only two extremes. 🤔

The nerve of the administration to demand that workers actually work. Lol

@Youngbuck3888 There is plenty to pick on, but California is beautiful. It has a lot to offer. I love living here.

@izudior I realize God is not a magic being because there is no god. Until we as a society evolve past primitive thinking, we will still count on "God" to take care of situations like this where we should step in. Living in a fantasy is not helpful. It's just a "feel good" coping mechanism. There was absolutely nothing good about this precious boy's torture. I personally think it's incredibly disrespectful to suggest there was some sort of divine hand involved.

@QueensNewYorkguy The laws aren't different based on gender. They're based on a lot of different factors - evidence, seriousness of the crime, charges, attorneys, judges, pleas, etc.

Well, God was MIA the whole time that innocent child was being tortured. I just don't understand why God gets a pass when people would hate any other person that didn't step in to help if they saw the abuse happening. It takes society to step in to make a change.

Absolute hypocrisy! They're outraged? Oh, the irony of GN calling RD a "small, pathetic man". The pot calling the kettle black.

@persiawatson9386 I used to believe that too until I realized there is absolutely no evidence for such as claim. We all wish that innocent children who are harmed are in a better place because it's too painful to think their lives were wasted. Personally, I wouldn't want my child to be in the arms of the "god" who stood back and allowed them to be tortured over and over and over again until their death. I find that very disturbing. You say we have free will, but if God created the world, then he created evil. Isaiah 45:7 I wonder why he would do such a thing. I'm even more confused by the question of why anyone would choose to worship a being who created evil and allows children to be hurt. If God is all powerful, he didn't have to create the world that way.

@izudior Saying "let people believe in what they f'ing want and mind your own business" sounds like telling someone else what to say and not say. I'm not sure how that could have been taken another way. I'll be very clear. I do not in any way, shape or form blame God for what happened to this precious boy. I do not believe in any gods. I was simply sharing my confusion as to how someone could turn to "God" when clearly he didn't do anything to prevent his torture and death. In fact, I find it incredibly disturbing.

@izudior If everyone is free to believe what they want, it's interesting you are telling me what I can and can't say.

@persiawatson9386 I am free to state my beliefs just the same as you are. I would never tell you what you may and may not say. I am very concerned for society who still believes in the supernatural. Believing in such things causes more harm than good. I'm concerned when people believe that everything works out in the end when it doesn't. I think situations like this should be taken very seriously. When people are so focused on the supernatural, they often miss real things that are happening around them. Would you be willing to answer one question? If so, here it is: Why do you think it is okay for God to not protect children from abuse, torture, rape and murder? If he's able to, I wonder why he would choose not to. I think that's a valid question.

@persiawatson9386 I appreciate your reply. 🙂 I believed in God for almost 50 years, but could no longer justify his bad behavior (in the bible and on earth). Now I realize there is no God, which makes so much more sense out of the world. If God were real, then he created evil. That just doesn't make sense to me. If he was able to make a perfect heaven, then why not just have created a perfect world in the first place? If he is all powerful, he didn't have to create evil, but he chose to, knowing how much suffering would happen. If we don't have free will in heaven, then why not just make it that way to begin with?

@persiawatson9386 It seems you may not be at the point where you are able or willing to question your belief system and that's okay. What's not okay is for you to say what I am thinking. I have been very clear that I do not believe in any gods and therefore, cannot be angry at something I do not believe exists. I am not angry about anything either. It is beneficial in life to recognize that people have different perspectives. You might consider attempting to see where others may be coming from and how they got there. I was already where you are and I changed. I am MUCH bet off now, with much more peace and less worry and confusion. As much as you may not be able to relate, that is my personal experience.

What are you talking about? Judges don't sentence criminals based on their net worth. I don't know why so many people want that to be true.

@johng81818 Crazy.

There's no excuse. Uber is readily available.

People like them don't think logically like most people do. They have no empathy, no true feelings of love. That poor, sweet little angel had no choice in the matter. It's just heartbreaking that it ended with his death. 💔
