Tax wealth; black hole filled. Simple.

If seats matched votes, Reform would have more MPs. Yet if votes were geared by the inverse amount of publicity, Reform would be nonentities.

Starmer is the embodiment of what the powerful will allow us. Transformative policies are simply disallowed by those who pull the strings of our elective dictatorship. We live in Brierfield and the Labour councillors have been particularly helpful. Party politics erode democracy at local level (imo) and we should vote for the best people as our representatives. At national level, we need tactical voting while suffering this undemocratic FPTP system.

So the fact that Streeting reveres Milburn as a successful former health secretary gives Milburn the right to use his contacts to make a pile of money by selling his services back for profit. I would have more confidence in Streeting if he consulted Dr Julia Grace Patterson of Every Doctor, who campaigns for a vibrant public health service.

Saw this a couple of days ago and was repulsed by both his values and the vacuous stupidity of Starmer's position.

Keir will do whatever pleases Rupert... It's a puppet!!!

@stewartbunting3568 A sure sign of desperation. Why not vote for a party that will make us better off rather than two conmen in their limited company?

@leehighland5435 That's pure desperation. From bad to worse.

@davidc3850 I'm sorry for your desperation. Hopefully you won't regret it because the scammers won't get enough seats.

"Labour together" is an oxymoron run by rats.

Labour votes were also obscured (possibly conflated) by tactical voting in our undemocratic system. I voted tactically but under PR, Greens would have had my vote in the last election.

The BBC errs on the side of a state propaganda machine and fails to effectively hold government to account. It should be moderated by media professionals, answerable to a people's assembly, with government arranging funding only. Ken Loach is a hero because of his sincerity and his refusal to conform to the establishment view.

There is a name for a "tough decision" that affects the vulnerable. It's called bullying. Meanwhile those with the broadest shoulders are left untouched. Tax wealth and tax the income from investments at the same rate as work income. Black hole filled...easy!

May unintentionally work for us if Starmer gets closer to the EU and tells president moron to go forth and multiply.
1
I sometimes wonder who's pulling Starmer's strings when he ignores competent people who are exposing the main factor holding us back: financial inequality. Liam Byrne has even written a book titled The Inequality of Wealth. He should also listen to Gary Stevenson and Prof Richard Murphy. Is he working for backers and string pullers?

Greens and SNP are the only parties in Westminster with social values. Labour must step up to the plate.

@garrym5682 evidence, please. A wild suggestion or a consensus?
1
The serial fantasy starts at the suggestion that the UK is a "thriving democracy". Certainly not thriving (well... perhaps for a few) and an elective dictatorship rather than anything near a democracy. Shall we have a referendum to check whether our support for Israel should continue? Surely that would be the action of a real democracy.
