  1. There are also other solutions. One proposed by Prof Richard Murphy and now supported by Greens is to tax the income from wealth at the same rate as work income. Eg, the income from share dividends would be taxed at 45% for the highest rate tax payer instead of the present 20% concessionary rate. Why not do both?
