With a minority (43.6%) vote returning a large parliamentary majority, our system is unrepresentative and thus undemocratic. We live in an elective dictatorship and need PR to achieve democracy through equal votes.

  30. Welcome to a fundamentally corrupt country, heading towards fascism. We need so many things to avoid this inevitable conclusion. Independent governance of standards; a voting system that is truly representative, where all votes count equally; a clearly written constitution, approved by a people's assembly; prohibiting second jobs for MPs, to avoid a conflict of interest. This list represents only a start, so the challenge is tremendous.

Buffoon and Smogg are spinning their latest excuse that an increase in public expenditure (such as increased benefits) would be inflationary. Not one interviewer has challenged that and asked them why. Perhaps they didn't explain cost push inflation at Eton. Too busy promoting entitlement.

We need real democracy. 2) We are simply not allowed transformative government: Corbyn could not be allowed anywhere near power and we are allowed nothing more than Starmer.

  41. So very true and poignant. The irony is that we have some good progressive economists and other campaigners offering hope. Yet Starmer is sucked into the power vacuum, listening to Blackrock while ignoring the interests of society. Gary Stevenson, Richard Murphy, Stewart Lansley and Liam Byrne MP understand the corrosion of inequality and want to change it. Farage will bring greater inequality, backed by dark money while appealing to the desperate and hard of thinking. We need to find our voice and work together.
