  1. I believe it was Robert Kennedy who declared GDP to be a measure of "everything, in short, except that which makes life worthwhile. Add the fact that GDP is largely estimated, with estimates updated and revised. An obsession with growth in GDP, without applying the Gini coefficient to consider inequality, is a favourite trick of political commentators in the UK. What's the point of growth if it all goes to the 1%?
